We're partnering with a premium global retail brand to recruit an experienced
Senior Payroll Manager to lead their UK and International payroll function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of a complex, multi-country payroll operation within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across Head Office and Retail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
You'll also lead and develop a team of four while collaborating closely with Finance, HR, Retail Operations, and international providers.
The Role - Lead and manage end-to-end payroll across UK and international entities
- Drive change and transformation in the Payroll function across systems and processes.
- Oversee payroll operations for Head Office, UK Retail, and overseas locations
- Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers across Europe and the US
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and international payroll obligations
- Own payroll reporting, reconciliations, journals, and bonus processing
- Drive process improvements and optimise payroll systems
- Act as the go-to subject matter expert for payroll across the business
- Coach and develop a high-performing payroll team
About You - Proven experience managing UK and international payrolls (multi-country exposure essential)
- Strong leadership experience, managing and developing payroll teams
- Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, and compliance
- Experience working in fast-paced environments (retail experience advantageous)
- Track record of improving payroll processes and systems
- Advanced Excel skills; SAP SuccessFactors and ADP experience beneficial
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines accurately
The Package - Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (dependent on experience)
