Finance Manager
Scale-up FinTech | Build & Own the Finance Function
We are partnering with a high-growth FinTech business that is entering an exciting new phase of its journey. Having successfully scaled its product and customer base, the business is now looking to bring its accounting and reporting fully in-house and is hiring its first Finance Manager to lead this transition.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role offering the opportunity to design, implement and own finance systems, controls and processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This is a reporting, systems and process role and will report into the Head of Commercial / FP&A who has already built out this side of the accounts function.
This is an international business and this role will be required to work in London one or twice a month with the Head of FP&A but the successful candidate can work from anywhere the rest of the time.
The role will pay £70k-£75k + up to 100% bonus and an amazing opportunity to build out a function in a high, growth market leader.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take full ownership of the finance / accounting systems and processes and act as a key partner to the business as it scales. Key responsibilities include:
- Bringing all accounting and financial reporting in-house from external providers
- Owning month-end close, management accounts and financial reporting
- Designing and implementing robust accounting processes, controls and policies
- Managing and developing all systems and processes around AP, AR, month end, year and financial reporting, management accounts, tax etc
- Selecting, implementing and optimising finance systems and tools
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
- Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and other external partners
- Building the foundations of a scalable finance function, with the opportunity to hire in the future
- Automation is key - leading on the automation of all processes
About You
This role will suit someone who thrives in a scale-up environment and enjoys building rather than inheriting:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting and reporting background
- Experience in a scale-up, FinTech, SaaS or high-growth environment preferred
- Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategically
- Experience implementing finance systems and setting up processes from scratch
- Proactive, commercially minded and confident working closely with founders and senior stakeholders
