Commercial Data Scientist – Finance Business Partnering

We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Data Scientist to join a global media business with a household name – the kind of brand you’ve definitely come across, whether in print, digital, or culture at large. You’ll be at the heart of commercial decision-making, turning data into insights that shape strategy, drive growth, and uncover new opportunities across multiple markets.
What you’ll be doing:
Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to guide business leaders.
Designing BI dashboards and automated reports that cut through the noise.
Partnering with stakeholders across global offices to spot trends, opportunities, and risks.
Using SQL, Python, and BI tools (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI) to turn raw data into actionable insights.
Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Helping shape a data-led culture across the business.
What we’re looking for:
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – you can translate complex data into clear, actionable stories.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI).
Commercial acumen and the ability to influence decisions with data.
International experience, ideally within Digital, Tech, Retail, or FMCG.
A proactive self-starter who enjoys taking ownership.
Nice to have:
Experience with digital or social media data.
APIs, Salesforce (Sales/Marketing Cloud), Google Analytics.
Experience with BI tool migration or implementation.
