We are looking for ambitious Sales Business Controllers keen to work in international markets. You are likely to come from a consulting, business or financial analysis environment ideally with a fashion or retail background. Fluent English is essential, and a multi-language skill is an advantage.

It is important to note that the Sales Business Controllers will be based and receive their training initially in Europe, North America or Asia with the view that they will proceed to become Country Controllers (Financial Controllers) in a sales market. Therefore, successful candidates should be prepared to be based outside of the UK, both in training and eventually proceeding to become Country Controller.

It is therefore essential that candidates are prepared to relocate.

Responsibilities in these roles will be varied and demanding with the role split between country head office, regional area office and stores. The main areas of focus are optimising sales, controlling costs and maximising profit in a geographical area. The Sales Business Controller is a dynamic role within the H&M business, where every day presents a different challenge and learning experience.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Role model according to H&M values
  • Leadership through engaging and coaching
  • Development and training of store teams
  • Budgeting and operational planning
  • Allocation and stock control
  • Store logistics
  • Sales and commercial analysis
  • P&L follow-up
